Yesterday, Proposition 8 has been declared unconstitutional (again)... Of course it was! Also, for the first time, an official ruling made it clear that the amendment was rooted in Prejudice (Bigotry). Duh! |

I have just recorded a new song: "I Hate People (Let's Get Physical)". It is a punching ball / second degree kind of song. Something to make you feel better when you're angry. ;-) Since I don't intend to infringe any copyright, this recording will not be for sale. Though I have written "I Hate People" myself, the "Let's Get Physical" bits are taken from one of the greatest pop songs ever: Olivia Newton John's "Physical". If you want to listen to my song, let me know: I'll be glad to arrange a private listening session...

My first attempt at making French macarons... I didn't use any coloring, therefore they look a bit pale, but they taste surprisingly good! I have created three different flavors: white chocolate ganache, milk chocolate ganache and orange. Those delicious little things usually cost $2.00 to $3.00 a piece! I wanted to know how much it would cost me. Verdict: $0.20 a piece and 35 minutes of my time. Did I mention that they do taste very good? ;-) Next time I'll use natural coloring and I'll work on giving them a better shape.

I know: we have been on vacation for quite a long time. ;-) After Australia and New Zealand, we have visited Seoul (South Korea). The culture shock was definitely there and I loved it. The pictures of our exploration are now available in the “Photo Album” (Travel section). They are only accessible to the people who have a password (sorry for the others). Click here to see the pictures... By the way: happy new year! |

And now: can you guess where we have just visited? Let me give you a clue: majestic landscapes, Lord of the Rings. Yep, after Australia, we have visited New Zealand: Fiordland, Dunedin, Akaroa, Wellington, Rotorua and Auckland. No need to say that this was the experience of a lifetime… The pictures are available in the “Photo Album” (Travel section). Click here (password needed) to see them... |

Big announcements today: my company (CareFusion) has just unveiled new technologies. Why am I so proud? Because those technologies are high visibility (you'll probably be exposed to them if you go to the hospital) and I have played a major role in two of them. Can you believe that I am the one who designed and implemented 95% of "Pyxis® Medication Interaction Alerts"? Here is what it does: it "provides customizable, active alerts for allergies and drug/drug interactions at the Pyxis MedStation 4000 system, helping clinicians reduce potential harm and facilitating compliance with certain hospital policies". Yep, I did that... ;-) I will have to update my resumé now that the product is officially featured. Click here for the Press Release.

A short drive around our neighborhood put us right away in the mood. Many houses were exhibiting their lights and colors. Like my husband frequently says: "this is my favorite time of the year"...

This is one of the biggest plagues. Bullying: one pathetic human being preying on another one to alleviate his own insecurities. This happens at school. This happens later in Life. I know firsthand that this can happen at work too! The system in place will rarely help you. The system is not about Right or Wrong. The system is only designed to protect itself. What advice can I give to people like Jonah? What works for me is trying to keep my eyes opened, and seeing bullies for what they are: pathetic human beings. Their inadequacy makes me laugh and I often end up pitying them, because bullies are very unhappy people. And I'm happy again! ;-) Watch Jonah... |
