Je n'aime pas comme tout le monde
March 2012 - Here's my new song: "Je n'aime pas comme tout le monde". I have just recorded it even though I have written the lyrics a long time ago... They express a struggle that I don't really feel anymore, but they tell a story that is worth telling, a growing up tale. I hope you'll enjoy it, even if you don't understand French... For his birthday, I took Stuart to the Addison which is Southern California's only Five Star/Five Diamond restaurant. Verdict: we had way more than a meal, we had an exceptional experience. The place was unbelievably beautiful, the service was impeccable and Chef William Bradley delighted us with the most inventive and incredible flavors. No wonder why he has been granted the prestigious title of “Relais & Chateaux Grand Chef”. Our spectacular evening ended up being rather expensive but it was worth every penny.

 Saturday, May 12, 2012 - The Best Local San Diego Theater
I am surprised Cinépolis chose San Diego and not San Francisco or New York to start their upscale invasion of the USA. I have just tried one of the new Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and I definitely don't think that I can go anywhere else from now on: it was that good of an experience. The place is definitely hybrid; a surprising combination of trendy Martini lounge, full service restaurant and high quality movie theater. Sat on your reserved first class reclining leather seat, you can, at the push of a button, call an attendant who will come and take your order from a rather enticing menu. Many items are made to order (sushi...) and you can order alcoholic beverages. At-your-seat service was like traveling in business class. The theater room was comfortable and the sound system was the best I have ever experienced. By the way, the movie I have seen was "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and I had a jolly good time. ;-)

I would have voted for him anyway... But something has definitely changed since today's historic announcement that our president supports same-sex marriage: I am now prepared to vote enthusiastically! I think that Obama has finally shown Courage. Better late than never!

I love this time of the year because I get to worship Chocolate. Once again, I have been spoiled with many goodies, including this Kinder Chocolate rabbit. Kinder Chocolate was one of my childhood's favorite things...
